almost famous

watched this show the first time last night. it's a year 2000 film. and it was really fantastic. rock stars, groupies, rock journalist. i love it all. the storyline? just as great. great film by cameron crowe. a semiautobiography of himself actually. he used to work for rolling stones before he became a director and a scriptwriter. this film brought whelms of emotions. friendships and love and junkies. sometimes, i really wish i was in that era, or even earlier. 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. where everything's so pretty and cool, esp fashion and lifestyle. not the 80s and 90s and now of cuz. haha everything's so commercialized already!
oh boy. somemore it was a kate hudson film. i dig kate hudson totally. haha. she's va va voom.
here's a lil synopsis of almost famous
When his love of music lands him an assignment from Rolling Stone magazine to interview the up-and-coming band Stillwater, William embarks on an eye-opening journey on tour with the band, despite the objections of his protective mother. With the help of the lovely "band aid" Penny Lane, William finds himself drawn into the band's inner circle. But as he becomes less an observer and more a participant in the band's dynamics, the fledgling reporter loses the objectivity to tell his story honestly, and learns a life-changing lesson about the importance of family--the ones we inherit, and the ones we create.
